The Beach
The Sunshine Coast is all about the beautiful stretch of coastline it’s renowned for, with a choice of golden sandy beaches to be swam in, surf the waves, build a sandcastle, explore the rockpools or simply just to stroll along.

The River

Oceanway Path
Stroll along the coastline from Maroochydore to Mooloolaba along the oceanway path, taking in the breathtaking views along the way. It’s also a shared path with cyclists, so jump on your push bike and peddle all the way along the path.
Skateboard Park
There is a newly refurbished Skateboard Park along the beachside near Alexandra Headland Surf Club that will keep little and big kids entertained for hours.
Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden
Located in Tanawha on the Sunshine Coast, the 82 hectare garden showcases plants native to the region and includes the Arts and Ecology Centre. The gardens have great creeks, lagoons and walking tracks to explore amongst the natural forest setting.
Cotton Tree Park
Only a short strolling distance are extensive parklands fringing the Maroochy River with sandy beach access to the river, piers for fishing off, children’s playgrounds, BBQ and picnic facilities.
The Ginger Factory Tour
You can take a tour of the factory at Yandina and see the ginger produced into a range of tasty treats as well as see the Beekeepers and secrets of the honeybees.
Eumundi Markets
The Sunshine Coast’s best markets in Eumundi are completely free (if you don’t buy anything!) and are worthy of spending half a day. It boasts great fresh produce, handmade arts and crafts, clothing, leatherware, free entertainment and a fantastic atmosphere set in the leafy streets of Eumundi.
