Maroochy River is a short 200 metre stroll away, where you can enjoy safe calm water swimming, build a sand castle with the little ones, try your hand at kayaking or standup paddle boarding on the river or throw a line in to catch your dinner!
The river is fringed with parklands with picnic tables, BBQs, shelters and children’s playgrounds. There is a pathway where you can walk or bike alongside the river.
Maroochydore Beach is 1.5 kilometres away and is a fully patrolled beach with the Maroochy Surf Club located on the golden sandy shores. There is rarely any rough surf here, which makes it great for beginners to swim, surf or bodyboard.
Kids love the area as well – families will have no trouble finding a patch of sand to call their own for the day. The patrolled area outside the Surf Club is the most popular, and safest, area to swim.
The beach is also ideal for beach walking on the soft sand with great views of Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba and Point Cartwright to the south, and Old Woman Island, the Maroochy River mouth (close to Cotton Tree) and Mount Coolum to the north.
